Whistler luxury condos have a variety of nearby fine dining options. Most fine dining in Whistler emphasizes local game, vegetables and fish. Many of the ingredients are locally farmed and caught, and an effort is made to offer sustainable options. Nearly all of the restaurants change the menus seasonally, and be sure to listen closely to the servers for additional specials or items which may not be available on a given night.
Although Whistler has plenty of restaurants, during the peak winter season it can be crowded. Most restaurants recommend dinner reservations. In practice, you might be hard-pressed to find a seat without one.
Upper Village
Whistler's Upper Village, near the base of Blackcomb Mountain, has several fine dining restaurants. Fifty-Two 80 Bistro, located in The Four Seasons Resort, has fine dining with a lodge or lounge feel. It offers several special apres-ski events during the winter season and has ample indoor and outdoor seating once the temperatures are warmer.
The nearby Fairmont Chateau Whistler has two restaurants that may be close to your luxury condo. The Wine Room, open Tuesdays through Saturdays, offers a limited menu with suggested wine pairings for each item. Three-course meals are available with or without wine pairings. The Wildflower offers a slightly broader menu in a more casual setting.
Closer to the base of the mountain is La Rua Restaurante. Situated in Le Chamois Hotel, La Rua offers a combination of British Columbia and Mediterranean flavors.
Lower Village (Main Village)
The Westin Whistler Resort and Spa offers fine dining in its Aubergine Grill, which emphasizes its sustainable fish selections. The resort is located near the base of Whistler Mountain.
Araxi, often cited as one of the original fine dining restaurants in Whistler, focuses on produce from the nearby Pemberton Valley. It offers a tasting menu in additional to its dinner menu. Araxi is located in the heart of the Village and is popular for apres-ski because of its central location.
The Bearfoot Bistro offers a large menu with the option of pairing courses with wine. They have a wine cellar of more than 20,000 bottles. There is also a Champagne Lounge for a fine bar experience and light menu. It is located near the Adara Hotel.
Located in the Pinnacle Hotel is Quattro Restaurant. It offers British Columbia fare with an Italian twist.
Other Options
Away from the tourist core are the RimRock Cafe and Jordan's Crossing. Both are located off of Highway 99, two miles south of the Whistler Village Entrance. Due to their slightly off-the-beaten track locations, the guests at both restaurants will likely be those who sought out the location rather than merely passersby.
RimRock Cafe is located directly off the highway on Whistler Road. Jordan's Crossing is located in the Nita Lake Lodge, which is reached from Lake Placid Road. The patio overlooking Nita Lake is well-attended during the warmer months.
No matter where your Whistler condo is located, there will be plenty of nearby fine dining. Use the Vamoose property descriptions and search filters to help narrow down your location.
