Whistler Village is the primary shopping area near Whistler vacation rentals. The Village caters to both tourists and residents alike, so there is a range of necessities, gifts and skiing accessories available for sale. The Village is centrally located, accessible either by foot or by using the Whistler shuttle called the WAVE. There is limited two-hour or street parking available.
The Village is divided into two areas near the bases of Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains. The North Village is closer to Blackcomb Mountain and provides a small number of shopping options. The larger Whistler Village is the primary shopping area. There is also limited shopping south of the Village in Whistler Creekside and north of the Village on Nester's Road.
Ski and Snowboard Equipment
CAN-SKI has several locations in Whistler, including within the Village. It sells everything a skier would need from the top manufacturers. In addition to the Village location, CAN-SKI also has Creekside and Blackcomb locations.
Showcase sells snowboard equipment from both a Village storefront and a shop in the Sundial Hotel. FanatkyCo Ski & Cycle sells equipment and fits ski boots.
At the base of both mountains is Whistler Village Sports, which sells the top brands conveniently located near the gondolas.
Clothing
Ski in style with the big names in outerwear and apparel. Stores include the Burton's Women's Shop, The North Face, Salomon, Helly Hansen and Quiksilver.
Casual wear can be found at Eddie Bauer, Roots, Lululemon, Street to Peak, Snowflake, Evolution and Beach or Bust.
Art Galleries
Whistler Village features several art galleries, many of which are on the upper or lower level of shopping and not overly visible. Others are located within a hotel lobby. The galleries feature Canadian artists, including the First Nations peoples. Pick up a brochure and listing of art galleries during a stroll through the Village.
The Squamish Lil'wat Cultural Centre features permanent and rotating art and photography exhibits as well as a gift shop and cafe.
Gifts
Whistler Village contains the standard complement of gift stores, including a book store, jewelery store and a Cuban cigar store.
Groceries and Necessities
Groceries and other necessities are available at the Upper Village Market, Whistler MarketPlace IGA and Whistler Grocery Store, which also sells beer. There are also several candy and dessert purveyors within the Village. These stores offer anything you might need to stock your vacation rental.
Just outside of Whistler Village is Nester's Market, which consists of a grocery store and liquor store. They are located on Nester's Road north of the Village. Nester's Market is where the local residents shop.
Services
Those needing assistance during a stay in Whistler will find all of the necessary services in or near the Village. These include a veterinarian, first aid and immediate medical care, day care, post office, library and tour advice.
