The bar at this luxurious and warmly decorated hotel is almost always filled with vacationers from all over the world, so expect to hear more than a few languages here. Introduce yourself and discover some of the excellent microbrews available, both locally brewed and international.
Sometimes, it's Best to Ditch the Hotel Bar and Experience the Local Flavor
- Le Jack & Johnnie's is located on 834 De St-Jovite and is a casual and warm pub that has a standing bar as well as water service. They're well equipped to deal with groups and happily take walk-ins and reservations. Their full bar and friendly staff is well equipped to handle the requests of an international crowd and do so with style and flair. While the dress code is casual, the décor is classy and inviting.
- The Bistro Le P'Tit Caribou on 3035 Chemin Principal, attracts a young, hip, trendy crowd. Expect to pay a cover charge from CAD 10 to 20 to get in. Unlike some of the other places, Bistro Le P'Tit Caribou features dancing and themed music nights. It's one of the hidden gems in the area, where there have been some legendary parties with no restraints, by which meaning there's often dancing on the bars. If you show up in your ski gear, you'll be overdressed and a bit out of place for the 2 p.m. happy hour, featuring cheap Labatt Blues.
- The Disco Bar Le Moulin Rouge on 650 rue du Moulin, is a swanky and trendy night club that's open from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. While at times there's a "frat house" feel to the place, the music is thumping from the live DJ that rocks the house. They've got excellent Goldschlager and tequila specials almost every night and the staff is not afraid to whip up the crowd into a frenzy. This is not the place to go for casual drinks and conversation. This is a place to drink it up, party and shake it.
Getting Back to Your Chalet Rental in Mont-Tremblant
You've eaten, drank and partied at some of the best places in the Canadian mountains, now it's time to head on back to your rental, sleep it off, clean up a bit and start a new day. There's a taxi service available if you've had a bit too much to drink and the bar staff will always help you out and call a cab if you need to. When visiting Mont-Tremblant, it's always a good idea to have a plan and a good idea of the places you'll want to visit, yet there are so many good places to have a casual drink or let loose with some excellent music, you'll rarely have to visit the same place twice in a week unless you want to.
