Château de la Mogère
Jean Giral designed this eighteenth century winery. For the past three centuries, everything inside this mansion has not changed; even the interior. The family portraits and all the antique furniture remain in place as it had been originally. Viscount Gaston de Saporta owns the interiors. A fountain made of little seashells with cherubs is distinctly placed in the garden which has a formal and English-style ambiance. When Fulcrand Limozin, a former adviser to the king bought the Chateau de la Mogere in 1712, he renovated the place. At present, the Château de la Mogère is enjoyed as a historical monument. Plenty of visitors gain knowledge about the lifestyle of the French nobility back in the eighteenth century by visiting the chateau.
For two hours, the Viscount can give you a tour of this French summer residence. You are welcome between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. daily from June 1 to September 30. It is open on Saturday, Sunday, and holidays at the same time from October 1 to May 31.
Château de l'Engarran
Henry d'Engarran started this winery when he bought the land from Saint Georges' lords. Winemaking continues until today through the efforts of Florian and Adelys Bertrand. In the estate, there is a winery, wine shop, and reception area. From one generation to the other, the Engarran family maintained its good reputation in the winemaking industry. Their manufactured wines have reached the United States, other parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Their wines include Vins de Pays d'Oc, Primeur, AOC Coteaux du Languedoc, and Vendanges tardives. You are welcome to visit between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7p.m. daily excluding Christmas, New Year, and Labor Day. Groups of 15 to 150 people need to make reservations.
