Still on the east side of the island, this is the second most popular beach on the island but only half as long as Chaweng. The quieter beaches are in the north east of Koh Samui and if you want tranquility in exotic and serene surroundings, sun worshippers can head for the Big Buddha Beach and Bo Phut Beach, where you will also find more bang for your buck as both beaches are not as developed as their counterparts in the east.
