Museum of Northern Arizona
The Museum of Northern Arizona aims to educate its visitors about the living culture of the Colorado Plateau and the Four Corners region. Through presentations, performances and activities, the museum offers a cultural experience that draws on both modern and ancient cultures of the plateau and the Four Corners region. The "Life Zone" is one of the museum's exhibitions. Visitors are taken on an outdoor exploration of a nature trail and a pond. While on the exploration, visitors can see the diversity of the climate, nature and wildlife found on the Colorado Plateau. It is open daily; children 6 and under are admitted for free. Senior, Native American, youth and student discounts are available.
Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra
Presented in Northern Arizona University's Ardrey Auditorium is the Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra. The symphony's season starts every September and goes through April. The season begins with a seven-concert music series; each week of concerts features a different musical period or composer. During the rest of the season, the symphony gives one concert a week and features the work of Bach, Brahms and Hadyn. During the summer months, the symphony conducts a Summer Chamber Series; and every July 4th , the symphony presents a Pops Concert in the Pine Mountain Amphitheater. Tickets to individual concerts are available as are season tickets.
Heritage Square
Heritage Square is located in downtown Flagstaff and is a place where visitors can enjoy free entertainment events. Every Thursday, the "Thursdays on the Square" is held, which is an evening of live music. "Movies on the Square" is held every Friday evening. This event offers family-friendly films. During the summer months, the Heritage Square Trusts also offers an afternoon concert series.
