Phoenix Zoo

The Phoenix Zoo is one of the safest places for seeing wildlife near Phoenix vacation homes. What will you see? These animals thrive in the park's safe environment. See African lions, Asian elephants, coyotes and lemurs. With more than 40 types of wild animals living at the zoo, you'll be there all day. While you're there, get educated about wildlife and how important they are to the world.

Seasonal hours vary, so check with the zoo for times and days. Admission price for adults is $16, and children age 3 to 12 pay $7. Little ones two and under get in free.

Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium

See wild animals and marine life in one terrific place. The Wildlife World Zoo and Aquarium features more than 75 exhibits. This park opened December 2008. It was the only public park of its kind between Albuquerque and San Diego. Today the zoo is a fantastic place for taking your family.

There are three exhibits in the aquarium: Predators, Diversity of Life in Water and The Wild & The Wonderful. Each division is housed in lettered buildings. Predators is all about sharks, white albino alligators, piranhas and the impressive araipaima. Diversity of Life in Water features the American alligator, Amazon exhibit, turtles and fish. The Wild & The Wonderful is home to unique and diverse sea life like the knife fish and seahorse reef.

The zoo offers nine exhibits. Find the petting zoo, safari rides, baby animal nursery and giraffe feeding station. There are other interesting sections to the zoo as well.

Visit the zoo from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Last entry is at 5 p.m. The aquarium hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. It's $26.50 for both areas and $16.99 for the aquarium only. Children tickets cost $14.25 for both and $8.99 for just the aquarium. Tax is added to all admission fees. Pay by check, credit card or cash. ATM on site for your convenience. Have AAA? Receive a $2.00 discount when you purchase tickets. There are food vendors, stroller rentals and a gift shop on site. Please do not bring any food; leave it at your Phoenix vacation home.
