Casinos a Short Distance from Breckenridge Home Rentals

Breckenridge home rentals are close to a variety of Colorado adventures including skiing and sightseeing, but there are many visitors that do not realize that the state is loaded with casinos. These western gambling towns are unique and located near Breckenridge rental homes. In all, there are about 25 casinos within an hour's drive of Breckenridge.

Central City

Central City is a quiet little "old west" town. Breckenridge rental travelers will find smaller casinos here. There is one larger casino, Fortune Valley Hotel and Casino, which offers poker, blackjack and other table games as well as many slot machines. The smaller casinos are unique as it is there that you will find the locals and personal service. It is the old west all over again with poker, slots and black jack. Casinos in Central City include Harvey's, Doc Holiday, Famous Bonanza, Easy Street and Dostal Alley. For you old fashioned gamblers, you'll find many machines that pay out money and not ticket in ticket out.

Blackhawk

Blackhawk is within walking distance of Central City. In fact, shuttles run between the towns. As an old gold mining town, Blackhawk is now divided into two sections, the older town and New Blackhawk, where the Vegas style casinos are located. Some of the smaller casinos are located on the outskirts of town and Blackhawk has more than 15 total.

Casinos include Riviera, Isle of Capri, Colorado Central Station, the Lodge, Richman Casino, MardiGras and Mountain High. In the older section, the restored buildings are filled with limited stakes gambling and slots. These include Bullwhackers Casino, Bullpen Casino, Black Hawk Station, Wild Card, Fitzgerald's, Gilpin Hotel and Casino, Canyon and Bull Durham. On the road to Central City you will find Eureka and the Red Dolly Casinos.

Blackhawk is not a kid-friendly place. If you are traveling with persons under 21, Central City or Cripple Creek is a better bet.
