Steamboat rental homes are the way to go when you want to
stay at a place that will have everything you want nearby. Steamboat
Springs is a tourist city in the northern part of the state with plenty
of restaurants to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Establishments
near your Steamboat vacation home
offer everything from Asian fusion to barbecue. Whatever you are in the
mood for on your Steamboat Springs getaway, you will find it here.
The Unusual Usual
When you are looking for a unique place to dine at, look no further
than Old Town Pub & Restaurant. With a bar that is more than 100
years old, you will feel like you've gone back in time. The walls are
decorated with old photographs, including one of the early building
from 1904. Relax in one of the booths with a glass of chardonnay or a
bottle of pinot noir. To eat, try a dish that is a staple of the area
like the wild sausage sampler with wild boar, rattlesnake, elk, rabbit
sausages, chili sauce and horseradish. Other local favorites are
venison chili topped with cheese, green onions and sour cream and
buffalo short ribs basted with Guinness beer and served with a barbecue
cranberry sauce. Live music is on the weekends here to enjoy. A good
thing is that you won't miss an important email, as there is free Wi-Fi
throughout the restaurant.
Italian, Anyone?
If you get in the mood while at your Steamboat Springs retreat to
sit outside on a wonderful patio with a glass of wine and a plate of
sausage and mushrooms topped with fresh mozzarella, then check out
Cuginos. They have an outdoor bar as well. Stop by for happy hour and
enjoy one of their daily drink specials. Besides pizzas, Cuginos serves
up strombolis and calzones with such fillings as steak, shrimp, veggies
and spinach. If it's homemade pasta you want, try the eggplant
florentine, baked penne and spicy sausage, portabella mushroom ravioli,
or the Godfather with mussels, calamari, clams and shrimp in a white
wine sauce, served with linguini and pesto sauce.
Be a Diva at Cafe Diva
To enjoy fine dining at a Steamboat Springs restaurant, make
reservations at Cafe Diva. They have an extensive wine list, including
champagne such as Dom Perignon. To go along with your bubbly, choose
the crab cakes or peanut butter and bacon sandwiches for your
appetizer. When you're ready to dine, there are many great choices
including coffee and onion braised lamb shanks or grilled pheasant with
eggplant and blue corn tortillas. These creations are the brainstorm of
co-owners Paul Underwood and Beth Fadel, and executive chef Kate Rench,
to have their customers experience a meal with a distinct combination
of spices and flavors. The right rental home in Steamboat Springs for your vacation will be
easy to find. Search here at Vamoose to see rental properties sorted by
price, location and amenities. You will be sure to find the one that
suits your needs.
