Opening the four day event is the ever-popular Colorado Lamb Cook Off where Vail chefs prepare hundreds of pounds of local lamb for this epicurean competition.
Teva Mountain Games

Competitions include extreme and freestyle kayaking, trail running, speed and dyno-climbing, bouldering and the GNC Ultimate Mountain Challenge. The four day June event also offers a mountain photography competition open to amateur and professional shutterbugs.
Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival
Held from late June through early August, organizers bring in globally acclaimed musicians to make beautiful music that resounds throughout the village. The festival attracts more than 60,000 music lovers annually. With a backdrop of majestic mountains and a winning combination of resident orchestras, prestigious guest orchestras, chamber music, jazz and more, this event provides a musical extravaganza unlike any other.
International Dance Festival
Held yearly in late July or early August, the festival is host to a variety of ballet and modern dance groups from around the world. While performers vary from year to year, repeat guest dancers include artists from the Bolshoi Ballet and American Ballet Theatre. The usual venue for performances is the outdoor Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in the Vilar Pavilion where you can enjoy the entertainment from provided seats or throw a blanket on the grass.
Hot Summer Nights Weekly Concert Series
Every Tuesday night from mid-June through the end of July, free concerts are offered in a variety of genres for your listening pleasure.
