The Parker Manatee Aquarium
Take on the marine world at The Parker Manatee Aquarium. Manatee are elusive and shy mammals that live in most of Florida's waters. Many become hurt in boating accidents and need treatment. The Parker Manatee Aquarium provides this care. Manatee are sent to the aquarium after receiving a first round of treatment at The Lowry Park Zoo. The aquarium then returns the manatee back into the waters when they are well enough.
Come see how The Parker Manatee Aquarium takes care of these gentle giants. Learn from experts about how manatee live and survive in the wild. Listen to lectures and presentations every day of the week. Times vary for each event.
