Orlando condo rentals allow guests to enjoy some of Florida's premier outdoor attractions. The number of lakes in the Orlando area and the warm climate year-round make a great experience for water sports enthusiasts. Orlando is also near some exciting wildlife-related attractions. Outdoor activity lovers will always find something to do here.
Discovery Cove
Visiting Discovery Cove is a good way to personally experience wildlife close to your Orlando rental. The admission costs also include admission to Busch Gardens or Sea World, as well as concessions. The surface of the entire park is a fine sand, so there's no need to worry if you didn't bring comfortable shoes; you might not need them.
Tropical birds have a free-range area that's fun to visit, since many of them are friendly and will come to you looking for treats. A dolphin swim is the park's signature attraction, and one that most visitors will eagerly take part in. The snorkeling pools have large numbers of bright, tropical fish and even enclosed shark tanks.
A river where guests can float using rafts is a nice way to unwind. A few waterfalls are found here and there, too. When you're hungry, a full-service restaurant is available.
Gatorland
Gatorland has one of the largest populations of alligators in one place. The park offers exhibitions of gators in their natural habitat, as well as fun entertainment shows. The Alligator Breeding Marsh is a 10-acre habitat that can be viewed from an observation tower. Several snake species are on display, and there's a petting zoo available for tamer entertainment. A natural cypress swamp is a good place for a nature walk.
Entertainment options include a gator-feeding show and gator-wrestling. A miniature water park gives kids a place of their own to enjoy. This park is just a short drive away from local condo rentals.
Typhoon Lagoon
Typhoon Lagoon is one of Disney's unique water parks. A variety of attractions from snorkeling tanks to twisting water slides are sure to please any visitor. If you need snacks while visiting the park, there's a concession area. Two body slides provide a quick thrill, as well as a mini-workout, as they're reached by several steps. You'll also find a water coaster and a wave pool. If you'd like a little less excitement, try the lazy river in an inner tube. Give the snorkeling tank a try, too.
Animal Kingdom
Another of Disney's parks, Animal Kingdom, features numerous species in habitats grouped by continent. Many of the animals can be seen on one of several safaris that the park specializes in. There's a petting zoo for younger kids, and a dedicated wild bird area. Some of the park employees will sometimes bring animals out to greet the public.
Fun live shows are offered that include music, dance and puppets. 3D movies are frequently shown. There are also some rides available. One of the roller coasters offers an experience much like climbing to the top of Mt. Everest. Another popular coaster lets you feel like you're visiting dinosaurs up close.
