The National Naval Aviation Museum

Also located in Pensacola is the National Naval Aviation Museum. With over 150 full-size aircraft and 4,000 artifacts, this museum is one of the largest aviation museums in the country. One of the most popular exhibits at the museum is also a restaurant. The Cubi Bar Café' is an exact replica of the area's Cubi Point Officers' Club. This club is famous for being a favorite hang out spot for Navy and Marine Corps personnel who passed through the area.

In addition to the exhibits and aviation collections, the museum has an IMAX theater, flight simulators and cockpit training areas. While visiting the museum guests can also catch a Blue Angels practice session. The museum is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Fast Eddies Fun Center

For visitors who want to stay in Perdido Key, a visit to Fast Eddies Fun Center is a fun choice. This is an amusement park that has various rides, go-carting tracks and golfing greens. The rides include a "spinnin n' grinnin" waterslide and a junior racing track. The park is open Monday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Military and group discounts are available.

The Pensacola Museum of Art

For visitors that really love museums and art, the Pensacola Museum of Art is a must see. The museum was started in1954 by a group of Pensacola women as a celebration of types or art. The permanent exhibits and collections contain paintings, sculptures and masks from the ancient times to the modern era. Artists featured in the museum range from Henry Matisse to Jayne Holisinger. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays. Military and student discounts are available. Children 10 and under are admitted for free.
