Located in Ketchum is the Sawtooth Botanical Garden. The garden is 5 acres and contains plants that are native to and cultivated in the area. Though open to the public year round, the garden hosts a special annual event targeted towards youth. Every spring the garden hosts the Bug Zoo Festival, which brings in insects and spiders from all over the world. Ketchum Sun Valley Historical Society Heritage & Ski Museum

Also located in Ketchum is the Ketchum Sun Valley Museum. This museum was established in 1989 and has exhibits that focus on the Tukudeka Indians' heritage and culture, the history of ski equipment, and the history of sheep ranching. Along with permanent exhibitions, the museum also presents temporary exhibits that give an in-depth look into different periods in Ketchum's/Sun Valley's history. It is open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., every Monday through Saturday. 

Gail Severn Gallery

Also in Ketchum is the Gail Severn Gallery. This gallery has 4 separate exhibition spaces, totaling 8,000 square feet, and focuses on the work of local artists. The gallery's art is not restricted to one type of medium. The exhibitions have featured photography, canvas and video-based artwork. All of the exhibits are temporary. The gallery also has a 2-acre sculpture garden. This garden has plants, flowers, art installations, sculptures and fountains throughout. The museum is open daily; admission is free. 

Blaine County Historical Museum

A few miles south in Hailey, Idaho is the Blaine County Historical Museum. It is housed in a building that was built in 1882 and focuses on the history of Blaine County. Specifically, it houses political memorabilia, clothing, documents, photographs and archeological artifacts from the area. Through these pieces, the museum has the opportunity to teach its visitors about Blaine County's mining and ranching industry as well as the daily lives of the area's Chinese population. A permanent exhibit dedicated to writer Ezra Pound, who was born in Blaine County, is one of the highlights of the museum. It is open daily during the summer months.
