The Blue Ridge Mountain Adventure Race

This race is held in spring at the Chattahoochee National Forest. More than a 100 co-ed, 3-member teams take part. The race is a combination of running along steep forest trails, mountain biking and paddling on the Toccoa River. Family Fishing Festival

Held at the Chattahoochee National Fish Hatchery yearly in September, this is a great occasion for the entire family to hone their fishing skills. Learn to cast bait, tie flies and catch trout that are in abundance at Rock Creek. You can also see some live demonstrations and educational exhibits.

Mountain Harvest Sale

This farmer’s market is held annually in the 3rd and 4th weeks of October. Organized by the Fannin County Homemaker’s Council, the sale offers you locally made arts and craft. The sale is an ideal opportunity to buy some gifts with a mountain theme.

Blue Ridge Kiwanis Rodeo

This rodeo is held every August in the North Georgia Mountains. Organised on the lines of a traditional rodeo, the events include calf roping, saddle and bareback riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing and team roping. Special competitions that test your equestrian skills are also held here.
