Surfing the Waves
Lincoln City attracts many novice and expert surfers alike to its waves. In fact, the Nelscott Reef Tow In Surf Competition is held here each year for professionals between October and December. If you do go surfing, keep in mind that the water is quite cold so be sure to dress appropriately in wet suits, booties, gloves and hoods, which can all be found at many area surf shops.
Whale Watching
If you're angling to spot a Pacific gray whale while enjoying your Lincoln City rental, consider a whale watching tour. The spring and fall are the best times to witness the whales during their migrations. Pods roam relatively close to the coast so great views are expected. You may be able to glimpse the whales from Roads End at the NW 21st Street beach access and SW 40th Street. Or, charter a boat or take part in a tour to get up close and personal.
