While staying at one of many Oceanside house rentals, you'll want to visit local restaurants for their exceptional seafood dishes and breathtaking ocean views. While there are only two restaurants in Oceanside, Oregon, there are additional dining establishments just a short drive away. Oceanside is a popular getaway location for many Oregonians living inland or near the city. With a population of only 350 residents, this quaint town offers the perfect serene retreat with lovely home rentals, pristine beaches and an abundance of seafood.

Historic Anchor Inn and Grill

Located in downtown Oceanside, this historic inn and restaurant was recently renovated in 2008. The Grill restaurant upgraded to include both a dining room and lounge area. The dining area has an intimate feel to it with its high ceilings, dark wood furniture and hardwood floors. The menu was expanded to include a variety of popular entrees including New York steak, porterhouse steak, Angus rib eye and gourmet sandwiches. Being so close to the ocean, seafood dishes are most abundant at this Oceanside restaurant. Some of the signature seafood dishes featured include cioppino, sea scallops, halibut, cod, oysters, crab, calamari, shrimp and salmon.

Roseanna's Cafe

Directly across the street from the Anchor Inn and Grill is Roseanna's Cafe. This Oceanside restaurant is undoubtedly the local favorite as everyone seems to recommend it. Roseanna's is housed in a charming stone, colonial-style building. The panoramic ocean views from Roseanna's dining room are indescribable. No matter where your seated at Roseanna's Cafe, you will have the perfect view of the ocean and beaches below. The cafe's menu includes a variety of delicious entrees including fish, scallops, oysters, steak, chicken, pasta, burgers and salads. There is an extensive wine and beer list to choose from, as well as a dessert list you won't be able to pass up.

The Schooner

When you're visiting one of the magnificent Oceanside vacation homes, stop off in the nearby seaside town called Netarts. There is an excellent restaurant here called The Schooner. The twin chefs will take turns preparing food and cooking it right in front of you in their wood fired oven. You'll find delicious Italian dishes here including wood-fire baked pizza and bruschetta. The Schooner also serves seafood entrees like halibut coated with hazelnut and oysters steamed with butter and garlic sauce.  

Rick's Roadhouse Bar and Grill

Just north of Oceanside is another seaside town called Rockaway Beach. This cozy gem features a popular bar and grill called Rick's Roadhouse. Rick's menu offers a large number of seafood entrees, in addition to other American favorites like burgers, steak, chicken and sub sandwiches. Try their gourmet meatball sub sandwich that's made with a deliciously secret ingredient. Regardless of what you order, Rick's believes in serving more for less, preparing meals with larger than normal portion sizes. The bar at Rick's Roadhouse serves a number of beers on tap, micro-brewed beers, wines and mixed drinks.
