Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run is a public course open year round and designed by golf legend Jack Nicklaus. Built in 1992, this course is one of the highest rated golf courses on Hilton Head Island. Nicklaus choreographed water and sand to keep the game challenging. Palmetto Dunes Golf
Palmetto Dunes makes it possible to experience 3 championship courses designed by 3 golf legends year round. The Robert Trent Jones Course, named for the designer, is a public golf course at the Palmetto Dunes Resort. Built in 1968, the Bermuda grass links has 54 total holes and is challenging to difficult for play. Greens fees for the course start at $125 and up depending on the time of day and season.
George Fazio's Course on Palmetto Dunes was built in 1974. The par fours on this course are very challenging, even for the most practiced golfer. Precision and consistency are important to manage this course. Take an opportunity to warm up on the driving range and putting green. Amenities include the clubhouse, locker rooms and pro shop. Greens fees for The George Fazio Course start at $70 and up depending on the time of day and the season.
Semi-Private with an Open Policy
Oyster Reef Golf Club is one of the premier courses on Hilton Head Island, designed by Rees Jones. Opened in 1982, its 18 holes run more than 7,000 yards in a design that challenges even the most skilled golfer. Warm up for your game by practicing your swing at the driving range or working on your short game on the putting green. There is also a practice sand bunker and chipping area. Oyster Reef is a semi private course with an open visitor policy. Greens fees start at $60 and vary depending on the time of day and season.
