This festival in late May is a great way to kick off your summer vacation. It's held at the Massanutten Resort. A number of good wineries are in the area, and this is a good way to sample their offerings. You'll also find local craft and microbrew beers available for sampling. Massanutten Antique Tractor Show
This show is held in mid-June each year, and it is a must for farming history enthusiasts. It's located at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds. Concession stands are set up to keep show guests well-fed.
Sunsets at the Vineyard
This event occurs every third Friday of the month at the Barren Ridge Vineyards. The true highlight of this event is watching the sunset over the Shenandoah Valley. It's a sight which shouldn't be missed. You can bring a picnic dinner of your own or order a catered one from the vineyard in advance. Wine can be purchased by the glass or bottle to enjoy with your meal. You're even allowed to keep the provided wine glass. Live music is offered, making the experience more memorable.
Front Celtic Festival and Highland Games
This Celtic festival is convenient to Massanutten rentals and ideal for Celtic culture enthusiasts. A variety of Celtic artists play during the festival. A "Calling of the Clans" bagpipe parade brings about a sense of community. You'll also be treated to performances from Irish step-dancing and Highland dancing groups.
