If you are planning to go on a long trek along the Pacific Crest Trail, you should find a Snoqualmie Pass rental where you can rest and enjoy the scenery. Located along the borders of Kittitas County, this pass is the largest and the most visited along the mountain routes of Washington State. With its highest elevation of 3,022 feet, this pass can be quite difficult to negotiate but the view at the top is fantastic so all your effort is well worth it. Moreover, from Snoqualmie Pass, you can easily reach some of the interesting stops along the Pacific Crest Trail.
Swim and Fish at Snoqualmie Lake
Before you leave Snoqualmie Pass, you should check out Snoqualmie Lake and enjoy swimming and fishing. The trail going to the lake passes through an old growth forest and past a number of scenic waterfalls so your trek towards the lake should be very interesting.
Cool Your Heels at Mirror Lake
Located about nine miles from Snoqualmie Pass, Mirror Lake is one of the best stops along the Pacific Crest Trail. To get to Mirror Lake, take the route through the Pacific Crest Trail head passing through the saddle located at the top of the slope, then make your way down to the other side of the trail passing by Lodge Lake. From Lodge Lake, make your way to the scenic Ollalie Meadow then walk towards the south side of Silver Peak. From this location, you should be able to round the Cold Creek and then make your way down from the ridge of the crest to Mirror Lake. Upon reaching the lake, you can camp near the Wildwood Resort and then go paddling and fishing around the Marona Mill Pond located near the lake.
Ski at Mount Baker
While trekking through the Pacific Crest Trail, you should take the time to do some skiing around Mount Baker. Located just a few miles off Mirror, Mount Baker has a base elevation of about 3,500 feet and its peak rises up to 5,089 feet. This mountain enjoys a generous amount of snowfall which makes it one of the best venues for winter sports including snowboarding, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Despite its high altitude, about 24 percent of the ski slopes around this mountain are suitable for beginners while 31 percent of them are good for advanced skiers.
Lemah Creek Falls
