The Art Fair Jackson Hole

During the third week in July and August, various Jackson businesses sponsor the Art Fair Jackson Hole. Started in 1965, this annual event celebrates diversity in art. Though many of the participants are local artists, the event is also open anyone who wants to submit his or her work. The event has arts and crafts areas, snack, booths and live musical entertainment. The event lasts the entire weekend and is held in Jackson's Miller Park. A small admission fee is charged per day. A visit to this event would be a visually engaging day trip from your Jackson vacation home.

The Jackson Hole Film Festival and the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival

The Jackson Hole Film Festival is a biennial, 6-day event that takes place in September. It is dedicated to giving a voice to filmmakers whose films focus on nature conservation. The festival also hosts many educational seminars about nature conservation on the local, national and international levels.

The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival is an annual event that focuses specifically on documentary films. All of the films shown focus on wildlife, and the event hopes to not only present visually stunning films but also raise awareness about nature and wild animals.

Single showing, day or festival-long tickets for both festivals are available.

The Grand Teton Music Festival

The Grand Teton Music Festival is a seven-week classical music festival. Every summer, a festival orchestra gives a series of concerts during the event. Also at the event are special guests such as violinist Sarah Chang and opera singer Susan Graham. The festival presents many seminars and talks about classical music and its place in modern society. Tickets to individual concerts are required. Festival subscription tickets, which allow access to all concerts and seminars, are also available.

The Jackson Hole Winter Carnival

During the last weekend in January, the Jackson Hole Winter Carnival celebrates winter sports and activities. The festival hosts events such as dog sledding, skiing and snowboarding. It also presents winter-themed films and artwork. During the three-day event, guests can attend the Snow King Musher Reception Party, the Torchlight Parade and the Town Square Pig Roast.
